  1. Organic, raw, unprocessed cacao is among the highest anti-oxidant foods known to man. It is rich in flavanols, an anti-oxidant family found in many plants.

    An anti-oxidant is a compound that scavenges free radicals and toxins within the body.

    Raw cacao also contains very high amounts of magnesium, raw saturated fat, fiber and vitamin C. However if used in excess it can become a nerve irritant because of the fact that it also contains theobromine and caffeine.

  2. Have you ever heard that chocolate causes acne? I used to have that problem with hershey bars. Now, I have a raw cacao shake a few times per week, sweetened with either agave, raw honey or xylitol (from birch) and my skin is actually improving. Its a wonder what processing and sugar does to our skin.

  3. I have heard that. Processed sugar is hyper inflammatory to the tissues. Cacao is very good for its anti oxidant properties. So is moderate amounts of unheated honey. Infrared sauna therapy is excellent for bringing toxins out of the skin, faster than any other method. Some clays are also of benefit, though they tend to be high in aluminum.
