If you didn’t know already, I’m a huge fan of raw chocolate. Cacao is, by far, one of the most powerful plants known to man. It has more antioxidants than just about anything else. And it’s a heart food, packed with magnesium and natural chemicals to brighten your mood and build your love within. For centuries, cacao has been revered by ancient peoples such as the Mayans and others. But today, we have cooked this ancient nut and turned it into what is commonly known as “chocolate” or “cocoa.”
After trying WildBar’s Mountain Mint Raw Cacao and Wild Blue Green Algae bar, I can already feel my mood and health rising. I’ve tried other great bars such as Gnosis and Raw Revolution bars and I’d have to say that WildBar is just as good, possibly better. What I like about WildBar is that they put Blue Green Algae in their bars, which is a big plus for me since it allows me to get in some extra chlorophyll and amino acids. And, of course, it’s USDA Organic Certified. Gnosis Chocolate puts plenty of Blue Green Algae in their bars as well!
My only gripe with these bars is that they break easily. When I think of a “bar,” I think of something pliable and chewy. Raw Revolution bars are pretty chewy, which is great. Gnosis bars are thick and chunky, which provides my palate with a variety of texture and a kaleidescope of flavors. Wildbar tastes great, and they do an amazing job of subtlety blending herbs and spices, but would be ever better if they got that “chewy” factor going. But we all have different tastes.
You really can’t go wrong when it comes to raw, organic, cacao bars. I won’t categorically say that WildBar is the best, I’ve tried so many great ones over the past few years. But I will say that this bar definitely is worth trying out if you’re into raw cacao. It’s a powerful superfood and wholefood. And with 53% of your daily B12 in one of these WildBars, you’re already halfway there in getting all the B12 you need for a day.
What’s your favorite raw cacao bar?

P.s. e3Live tastes great in a cacao shake. I suppose you could add mint and get that same taste at home.
