Mr. Lasse,
I thank you so much for this enlightening comment. It is a great complement to the article. This is the type of sharing and interaction we cherish here at skrewtips. I am personally very interested in developing the habit and discipline of breathing techniques and exercises. Again, thank you for your comment.

interesting article.

I was puzzled why you didn't mentioned 'breathing excercises' (or pranayama as they a called in the world of yoga). I have personally experinced them to be very soothing and done in the morning on an empty stomach. I have often found myself left with no hunger or desire for eating until much later in the day. This hasn't been the reasons why I did pranayama, but it was just the obvious effects it have had on me, that I couldn't help notice. Now I am seeing the sketches of an explantion, thanks in part to your article here.

Breathing excercises doesn't have to be complicated and you dont even have to do yoga. It could be as simple at sitting with your spine erect and then take 5-10 deep breaths, allowing the lungs to both fill and empty as deep as possible, while it is still comfortable of course. Help the proces by closing the nostrils with your right hand thumb and ring+little finger. That would allow you to let the freshly breathed air circulate and physically fill you body, without having to hold your breath in a cramped or forced way. Try it now. It could take as little as 5-10 minutes, and you will feel better for the rest of the day I can assure you.

Breathwork is best done on an empty stomach. By regular breathing excercises it has been scientifically proven that anybody can boost their lung-capacity by as much as 30-40 %. Lung capacity is an important factor in scientific estimations of human lifespan. As important as muscle mass and the like.
