Some foods and herbs command the respect and honor of the title “super” because of their completeness and the amount of nutrition packed into each bite. Allow me to introduce you to Spirulina, most recently deemed the super-est of all super foods. Spirulina, a form of blue-green algae, boasts 10 times more beta carotene than carrots, is about 65% protein and provides us with essential fatty acids, phytonutrients, probiotics, and antioxidants. Consuming spirulina (algae) has been linked to recovery from diseases like Cancer, ADD, and Autism.

These apprehensions are well-founded considering the more recent occurrences of Candida and fungal infections that are thought to be caused by antibiotics, and the fact that diseases seem to be getting smarter each day.
Before you grab another heaping helping of your favorite cereal, or sink your teeth into a buttery slice of bread – wait a second. The main ingredient in so many of our favorite (or at least most popular) food choices is wheat. Wheat was cultivated centuries ago, and even gets mentioned in the Bible. So, we’d be apt to guess that it’s good for us, right? Well, most of the world would certainly have you believe so.
Got stress? If you don’t, you’re either living on an imaginary spa retreat, or you’ve captured life’s biggest secret. But, if you do – you’ll probably want to read on. An alkaline based diet can help balance internal stress, allow your body to easily absorb the nutrients it needs for healing, and give you energy to properly maintain your outer-world stress.
