In fact, mental disorders, which can range from social anxieties to mood problems, are the number one cause of disability in the United States and Canada.
Aromatherapy is an alternative therapy, which uses essential oils, each of which has specific curative qualities. The essential oils help patients to calm down, stimulate the immune system, improve the appetite, and some help in mitigating the pain in stiff joints. Typically, aromatherapy contains an array of brown bottles containing small quantity of essential oils.
Humor reduces levels of stress hormones such as cortisol and is thought to enhance our immune, endocrine, and cardiovascular systems. Laughter also provides a workout for the muscles of the diaphragm, abdomen, and face. A joke can raise our spirits, or ease our tension. If we’re able to laugh during a stressful situation, we can put psychological distance between ourselves and the stress.
