Your eyelashes might be a very tiny and fragile part of your body, but they are by no means to be undermined just because they are trivial. Your eyes are cushioned and well protected by the presence of those lashes, and it would be useless to mention that they make your eyes look gorgeous and feminine!
The thicker and longer the eyelashes are, the prettier your eyes look. And we all know gorgeous eyes are always successful in drawing attention among a crowd. It is therefore your responsibility to take care of your eyelashes and follow these tips to make them thicker and healthier:
Using Natural Oils
The good old olive oil and our very own castor oil which are being used since ages for the maintenance of hair, skin and overall health are very effective when it comes to making your eyelashes grow fuller, thicker and remain healthier. Keep some olive oil or castor oil in a small bottle and apply it every night before going to bed on clean and dry eyelashes. Use a clean eye mascara brush when you get a spare one and apply the oil with it for proper application.
Remove Make Up Before Sleeping
Now, it is great when you make your eyelashes get covered with thick coats of mascara and eyeliner on the edge to give it a dramatic look. To enhance the same, you also use the eyelash curler for a much fuller and prettier look.
However, all this leads to the weakening of the hair present on your eyelashes, and what’s worse is when you go to bed without removing the makeup. Before you go to bed after returning from a party, always make sure that you have cleaned up every trace of makeup from your eyes to avoid hair shedding and irritation in the eyes.
Stop Using Mascara Every Day
Okay, the mascara is a great way to make your eyelashes look defined and pumped up; however, using mascara every day leads to immense dryness of the hair and makes your eyelashes grow weak. On top of that, it also leads to a lot of itching and irritation on the boundary of the eyelashes and the eyelids which could result in hair loss from the eyelash area.
Do Not Rub
At times, due to dust in the environment or traces of kohl, eyeliner or mascara, the eyelash area and the eyelids experience severe itching and irritation. And we end up rubbing our eyes mercilessly with the intention to ward off the itching sensation. However, what must be remembered is that the hair of the eyelashes are much delicate than those on the head and such rough touch would definitely make them weaker and fall away. This is a very big reason why people suddenly start experiencing hair loss in that area.
Vitamin B & Proteins
Biotin and Vitamin B5 are the two very important forms of Vitamin B which are heavily responsible for the growth of hair on all parts of the body. Equally important are proteins which have been highlighted time and again for healthy and luscious hair. Hence, make sure you are consuming a lot of eggs and yogurt, cheese, fish, legumes, mushrooms and carrots to ensure the sufficient supply of these nutrients.
Natural Eyelash Enhancer
The use of the eyelash enhancer which is available in the markets with natural and herbal contents present in it is also a brilliant way to boost the growth of your eyelashes. Some women use it before applying makeup while others use it generally. It is waterproof and is applied on the threshold of the eyelids in the same way as an eyeliner is applied. Any make up to be applied, should be done after the enhancer dries. It does not harm the eyes and is a natural way to have thick and beautiful eyelashes.
