There’s a lot of talk about the upcoming season of Hell’s Kitchen. The current buzz is over the F-bomb that was dropped several times by a hot cast member along with Chef Gordon Ramsay.
Is Your Kitchen a Hell or Heaven?
But more importantly, the question that comes to mind is whether your kitchen is a Hell or a Heaven? For me, heaven and hell is a state of existence — one that can change from day to day. In the same way, your kitchen may become a hell, or actually, make your life and health a hell if you make the wrong choices about the foods that you cook in there. My kitchen has always been a heaven for me because of the healthy food that I make there.
A Living Hell
For many, though, your kitchen may be a living hell. From all the junk food overflowing in the cabinets to the drop-dead unhealthy food that you are making, your kitchen is nothing short of a hell. A place where hellish food is made that invariably brings your life closer to a long and painful death. Now, if you think that those comments are a little harsh, consider with a cool mind about what kind of foods are you ingesting in your body.
Buy Your Groceries Carefully
The Grocery aisles of major stores are stacked up by glitzy products, pushed relentlessly by big brands without a care for your health. And where do all these products end up? In our kitchen cabinets, of course. If you were to count the number of calories, sugars and fats in these mostly processed items, you’ll be amazed to realize how dangerously these products ‘play’ with our health.
Thankfully, though, I’ve observed that a new wave of health consciousness is sweeping America, as well as other parts of the world, where people are becoming aware of the dangers of consuming junk food. However, there is still a long way to go.
Arm Yourself with Knowledge
With the information boom all around us, it is not difficult these days to get facts on the kinds of food that we buy. The internet is full of sites like Skrewtips where you get a number of tips to make your food choices healthy and natural. It takes only a bit of effort to arm yourself with all that good knowledge that would result in a healthy and long life. Please consider it seriously.
How are You Living?
There comes a point in each person’s life when he or she has to ask the question, “How am I living?” Are the foods I’m eating creating a heaven or a hell for me? Am I addicted to junk food and pain killers? Or am I making beautiful and healthy food and opting to use herbs and plants as my main source of medicine?
It all starts in your mind and flows into your kitchen. If you have heavenly thoughts, you’ll eat heavenly food, enriched with love instead of white flour!
